town, western Cte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast). It lies along the Nzo River, which is a tributary of the Sassandra. The major trade centre (in rice, cassava, and livestock) of the Guere, Yacouba, and increasing numbers of Mossi people, it is also a collecting point for a forest region that sends coffee and timber to the coast for export. Guiglo is the site of a sawmill and a research station for coffee and cocoa. Pop. (1975) town, 10,441.
