HAZARIBAG

city, south-central Bihar state, northeastern India, on the Hazaribag plateau. The city is a major road junction and agricultural trade centre. It houses the offices of the Damodar Valley Corporation, a hospital, and several colleges affiliated with Ranchi University. Hazaribag was constituted a municipality in 1869. Pop.
