HELICANUS

a lord of Tyre and interim ruler during Pericles' prolonged absence in Shakespeare's Pericles. Despite the urgings of others, Helicanus refuses to usurp Pericles' throne and thus exemplifies loyalty and honour within a milieu of selfishness and evil.
