HYMENOGASTRALES

an order of fungi (division Mycota) of the class Basidiomycetes. It is a heterogenous group of about 225 species related to mushrooms and boletes. Genera include Rhizopogon (150 species widespread in North America) and 25 species of Secotium (Endoptychum), especially in Australasia.
