KISELYOVSK

also spelled Kisel'ovsk, or Kiselevsk city, Kemerovo oblast (province), central Russia. It developed in the 1930s as an industrial and coal-mining centre. Much of the coal is used for coking. Kiselyovsk's engineering industries produce drilling equipment and trucks and mechanical horses for underground coal trains. Pop. (1991 est.) 126,900.
