A rare man of honour in Eastcheap, the Lord Chief Justice fears for his safety after the accession to the throne of Prince Hal, with whom he has previously clashed. Instead, the new king, demonstrating his newfound wisdom, rewards the Justice for his honesty and places Falstaff and his entourage in official custody.
