Chinese (Wade-Giles) Lu Hsn Chi-nien Kuan, or (Pinyin) Lu Xun Jinianguan, in Shanghai, museum devoted to Lu Hsn (18811936), one of modern China's most revered writers. It is in the Lu Hsn Memorial Park, which also contains his tomb. The museum opened in 1951 in the house where the writer spent the last years of his life; it was moved to the present site in 1956. Its exhibitions describe his childhood and adolescence, his stay in Japan, his stay in Peking, and his various teaching posts. One room is devoted to his political activities in Peking. Letters, manuscripts, photographs, and other memorabilia illustrate the different phases of his life.
