MALO


Meaning of MALO in English

formerly St. Bartholomew, island of Vanuatu, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, 3 miles (5 km) south of Espiritu Santo. Volcanic in origin, it has a circumference of 34 miles (55 km) and occupies an area of about 70 square miles (180 square km). Its highest point is Malo Peak, 1,070 feet (326 m). Copra and cocoa are produced on Malo's plantations. Pop. (1979 prelim.) 2,312.
