MALO

formerly St. Bartholomew, island of Vanuatu, in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, 3 miles (5 km) south of Espiritu Santo. Volcanic in origin, it has a circumference of 34 miles (55 km) and occupies an area of about 70 square miles (180 square km). Its highest point is Malo Peak, 1,070 feet (326 m).
