born Dec. 19 [Dec. 31, New Style], 1845, Zajecar, Serbia [now in Yugoslavia] died Dec. 10, 1926, Belgrade prime minister of Serbia (189192, 190405, 190608, 190911, 191218) and prime minister of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes (1918, 192124, 192426). He was one of the founders, in 1918, of the kingdom that would later (from 1929) be called Yugoslavia.
