The university includes the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Graduate School of Social Work, and schools of Business Administration, Education, Engineering and Applied Science, Fine and Performing Arts, and Urban and Public Affairs. In addition to undergraduate studies, the university offers a range of master's and doctoral degree programs. Research facilities include the Institute on Aging and the Center for Population Research and Census. Total enrollment is approximately 15,000. The university was founded in 1946. Located around the Park Blocks, a greenway for pedestrians and cyclists, the university shares its campus with the Oregon Art Institute, Portland Center for Performing Arts, and the Oregon Historical Center.
