SAN RAFAEL MOUNTAINS

segment of the Pacific Coast Ranges, extend southeastward for about 50 mi (80 km) from the Cuyama River to near the Santa BarbaraVentura County line, western California, U.S. Several peaks exceed 6,000 ft (1,800 m), including San Rafael Mountain (6,596 ft) and Big Pine Mountain (6,940 ft), the highest point. The range lies within the Los Padres National Forest.
