a quarrelsome prostitute who is the mistress of Falstaff in Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2. Doll shows genuine affection for the corpulent rascal Falstaff, but she suffers along with his other hangers-on when he is rejected by King Henry V and is unable to get her released from jail. Though she does not appear onstage in Henry V, Pistol reports her death in Act V.
