town, south-central New South Wales, Australia. It lies in the Western Slopes district of the fertile Riverina. The town also handles fat lambs and cattle, has meat-freezing plants and flour mills, and manufactures clothing, plaster, and bricks. It has rail and air links to Sydney (214 miles northeast). Pop.
