( Susan Brownell Anthony 1820–1906)
a US teacher who was a leader of the campaign for women’s right to vote. In 1869, she and Elizabeth Cady Stanton established the National Woman Suffrage Association. Anthony also organized the International Council of Women in 1888 and was President of the National American Woman Suffrage Association from 1892 to 1900. Her image is on the Anthony dollar .
