Meaning of BEECHAM in English

(1879–1961)

an English conductor who established two of the great London orchestras, the London Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic , and helped to make the British music of his time, especially the music of his friend Delius , more popular. He was also famous for making intelligent, funny and sometimes unkind remarks. He was made a knight in 1916.
