BUCKINGHAM PALACE

the official home of the British royal family in central London. It is a very large house, originally built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham, though the part that can be seen from the road was built in 1913. Many tourists stand outside the Palace to watch the ceremony of Changing the Guard , and in 1993 parts of the inside of the house were opened to tourists.
