Meaning of BUSBY in English

(1909–94)

a British football player and manager. He was a successful player for Manchester City and Liverpool in the 1930s but is best remembered as the manager of Manchester United (1945–69). Several members of the team died in a plane crash in 1958 and Busby introduced many new young players, who were called the Busby babes . They became the most successful team in England, winning the European Cup in 1968. Busby was made a knight in 1968.
