I . Angela Carter

(1940–92)

an English writer of fiction. She was especially known for describing magical or impossible situations in a realistic way. Her best-known novels are Nights at the Circus (1984) and Wise Children (1991). She also wrote the film The Company of Wolves (1984), which was based on one of her stories.

II . Jimmy Carter

(1924– )

the 39th US President (1977–81), a member of the Democratic Party and known for his strong moral principles. He arranged for the Camp David peace agreement in 1979 between Egypt and Israel. In the same year, he failed to end a siege of the Iranian embassy in London and lost the next election to Ronald Reagan . He has since represented the US in international disputes. In 1982 he started the Carter Center , an international human rights organization. He received the Nobel Prize for peace in 2002.

III . Nick Carter

a US detective character in more than 500 dime novels , a magazine, radio and television series, and films. He was created in 1886 by John Russell Coryell and Ormond G Smith, and the later stories were by many different writers.
