(1913–92)
an English writer of cookery books, especially about French and Italian cooking. She was a major influence on the quality of English cooking from the 1950s onwards.
II . St David
( c. 520–600)
the patron saint of Wales. Little is known about him except that he started several religious houses in Wales and he lived in the place now called St David’s . St David’s Day (1 March) is Wales’s national day.
