Meaning of DOC MARTENS in English

a popular British make of strong shoes and boots. A special feature of them is a ‘cushion of air’ under the foot to make them more comfortable to wear. DMs were part of the uniform of the skinheads in the 1960s and the punks in the late 1970s, after which they became more widely fashionable.
