Meaning of FINANCIAL TIMES INDICES in English

different lists of share prices on the London Stock Exchange that are published every day in The Financial Times . They are used to show general trends in the British financial markets. The oldest of these is the Financial Times Ordinary Share Index , or FT Index , a list of the average prices of 30 industrial shares. The best known is the FT-SE 100-Share Index , which gives the share values of the 100 largest British companies. The newspaper also publishes the FT-Actuaries All-Share Index , based on a wider range of share prices and giving the values of the top 250 and the top 350 shares in Britain.
