Meaning of FRANKENSTEIN in English

a novel (1818) by Mary Shelley . It is the story of a Swiss scientist, Dr Frankenstein, who makes a living creature from parts of dead bodies. It is like a man, but stronger, and although it is gentle at first, it later attacks Frankenstein and kills his brother. There have been many films based on the story and variations of it:

Everybody was dressed up as a ghost, a vampire or Frankenstein’s monster
