I . Kate Greenaway
(1846–1901)
an artist who drew pictures for children’s books. She developed her own style of drawing children, usually playing, dressed in early 19th–century clothes. The Kate Greenaway Medal is a prize given every year for the best illustrated book for children published in that year.
II . Peter Greenaway
(1942– )
an English film director who makes artistic and sometimes controversial films. His best-known films include Drowning by Numbers (1988), The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover (1989), Prospero’s Books (1991) and The Pillow Book (1996).
