I . Alexander Hamilton
( c. 1757–1804)
one of America’s Founding Fathers . He fought in the American Revolution , was one of the writers of The Federalist Papers , and established and led the Federalist Party . Hamilton was the first US Secretary of the Treasury (1789–95) and established the central Bank of the United States. He died after Vice-president Aaron Burr (1756–1836) wounded him in a duel.
II . Lady Emma Hamilton
( born Amy Lyon 1765–1815)
a beautiful English woman from a poor family who became famous as the lover of Lord Nelson and the mother of his child, although she was married to Sir William Hamilton, the British government’s representative at the court of Naples. After her husband and Nelson died, Lady Hamilton was put in prison for debt.
III . Richard Hamilton
(1922– )
an English artist who was one of the first people to introduce pop art to Britain. His paintings are often about social and political issues in modern society.
