( in Britain ) a children’s card game played with a special pack of cards with pictures of members of various families on them. There are four members in each family: a man, his wife, their son and their daughter. The aim of the game is to collect as many complete families as possible. If you have one member of the family already, you can ask somebody if they have another member, e.g. ‘Mr Bun, the Baker’ or ‘Miss Pill, the Doctor’s daughter’, and if they do, they have to give the card to you.
