HEMLOCK SOCIETY

a US organization that supports doctors who help people to end their own lives when they want to do so because they have a serious illness that cannot be cured. The organization was established in 1980 and in 1997 had 25 000 members in 80 local groups. Its slogan (= words that express an aim or belief) is ‘Good Life, Good Death’.
