a US television personality who presents the chat show The Late Show with David Letterman on CBS . He has won 12 Emmy awards and is known for his unusual humour, which includes having animals do ‘stupid pet tricks’. His show first followed The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson , and when he was not chosen by NBC to replace Carson he moved to CBS .
