a Welsh composer, actor and writer of plays. He wrote many successful songs and musical plays, in some of which he also acted. Two of the best-known are Glamorous Night (1935) and King’s Rhapsody (1949), and his songs include Keep the Home Fires Burning , which was very popular during World War I .
