Meaning of NSPCC in English

( in full the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children )

a British charity that has worked to prevent child abuse of all kinds since 1884. It operates a 24-hour national telephone helpline to give help and advice to children and parents, as well as anyone worried about the safety of a child. The NSPCC works closely with social workers, doctors and police officers.
