OASIS

a British pop group from Manchester, formed in 1991. The best-known members are Noel and Liam Gallagher, two brothers who often argue with each other. Liam is the band’s singer, and Noel writes songs and plays the guitar. The group was known for its bad behaviour, often related to drugs and alcohol, but its records have been extremely successful. They include the albums Definitely Maybe (1994), (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), Be Here Now (1997) and Heathen Chemistry (2002), and the single records Live Forever , Cigarettes and Alcohol and Wonderwall .
