PALM SUNDAY

( in the Christian Church ) the Sunday before Easter . In many Christian churches people who come to church on Palm Sunday are given a leaf of the palm tree folded in the shape of a cross. This tradition comes from the Bible story that people put palm leaves on the ground in front of Christ as he entered Jerusalem.
