a Christian religious group established in Plymouth , England, in 1830 by people who did not agree with the ideas and ceremonies of the High Church . The Brethren have no priests, and live according to a set of strict moral rules that they have taken from the Bible. They believe that Jesus Christ will soon return to judge people.
