a US pop singer and actor. In 1993 he changed his name into a symbol that nobody can pronounce, so many people call him ‘the Artist Formerly Known as Prince’. He was born Prince Rogers Nelson in Minneapolis. He has shocked a lot of people with his sexual songs and performances on stage. He was the star of the film Purple Rain (1984) and won an Oscar for its music. He also wrote the music for Batman (1989).
