Meaning of PRINCE OF WALES in English

a title given to the eldest son of a British king or queen, who becomes king after them. The title was first used in 1301 and is traditionally given together with the titles of Duke of Cornwall and Earl of Chester. The present Prince of Wales is Prince Charles .
