The largest ceremony is held in London, when politicians, Commonwealth figures and members of the royal family lay flowers at the Cenotaph in Whitehall . People traditionally wear a paper or plastic poppy (= a red flower) on Remembrance Sunday and the days leading up to it, and the day is also called Poppy Day .
