the man who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald in 1963. Oswald had been arrested two days before for the murder of President John F Kennedy and was being taken by the police to a prison in Dallas . Ruby pushed through the crowd who were watching and shot Oswald at close range in front of television cameras. Some people thought he did this because there had been a secret plan to kill Kennedy and Ruby was told to stop Oswald revealing it, but this was never proved. Ruby was sent to prison and died there.
