Meaning of SAROYAN in English

(1908–81)

a US author of novels, plays and more than 400 short stories. He wrote about ordinary people and refused the Pulitzer Prize for his play The Time of Your Life (1939) because he did not want rich people to support the arts. Saroyan’s best-known novel is The Human Comedy (1943).
