a movement in British art and literature that began in 1913 and lasted through the early years of World War I . Its main figure was Wyndham Lewis , and other artists associated with the group were Jacob Epstein and Ezra Pound . The paintings of the group were influenced by Cubism and Futurism, and dealt with such themes as energy, violence and machines.
