CLIPPING

[noun] [C]Grass clippings (= Pieces of grass that have been cut) can be used to make compost.(esp. US) A friend recently sent me a newspaper clipping (also cutting at cut (KNIFE)) (= an article cut from a newspaper) about someone we were at school with.
