[noun] [U]Pluralism is the existence of different types of people, who have different types of beliefs and opinions, within the same society.The late 1980s and early 1990s saw the growth of pluralism in many East European countries.After years of state control, the country is now moving towards political/religious/cultural pluralism.Pluralism is also the belief that the existence of different types of people within the same society is a good thing.They are committed to democracy, human rights and pluralism.
