[plural] [noun]I want a plain black jumper with no fancy trimmings.(figurative) In spite of the democratic trimmings (= additional things which look good) of an elected national assembly, one man still runs the country.(figurative) I've always dreamt of having a big wedding celebration with all the trimmings.(figurative) I'll have the turkey with all the trimmings (= with the vegetables and other things that are eaten with it), please.
