VIRTUOUS

[adjective]Virtuous means possessing good moral qualities.I've been up working since 6 o'clock this morning so I'm feeling very virtuous.He described them as a virtuous and hard-working people.Who wants to read about virtuous people - they're boring.(disapproving) Virtuous can also describe a person who thinks himself or herself morally better than other people.I'm convinced he only does that charity work so that he can feel virtuous.He disliked intensely what he called 'the virtuous tendency' in the socialist party.
