ELECTROFLOTATION

"An electrolytic process for particle separation. An aqueous solution containing dispersed solid particles is electrolyzed to produce hydrogen and oxygen gas bubbles, the rising bubbles carry particles adhering to them to the surface where they can be skimmed off. This process is routinely used in processing minerals (ores) for separating the light and heavy particles, and in waste treatment to remove solids. "
