AESACUS

[Greek] The son of Priamus and Alexirrhoë. He fell in love with the nymph Hesperia. She fled from his avances, but was bitten by an adder and died. Grief-stricken, Aesacus hurled himself into the sea, but was changed into a bird by Tethys.
