AMYMONE

[Greek] A daughter of Danaus. She was once assaulted by a satyr near a spring, but was saved by Poseidon. She fell in love with him and became by him the mother of Nauplius (who later founded Nauplia (the current Nafplion), a port at the gulf of Argolis). Her attribute is a water pitcher.
