BASSAS

Meaning of BASSAS in English

[Arthurian] A river and, in the Historia Brittonum, the site of Arthur's sixth battle. The location, however, is now lost. Though many old British names survive, albeit in a distorted form, the name may have been eradicated by Anglo-Saxon conquerors.
