BUROTU

[Polynesian] The Fijian island of eternal life and joy, where the souls of the departed will rest in the cool shade. The souls are first interrogated by Degei, the serpent god, and only a few are allowed to go to Burotu; most go to Murimuria and the cold and misty Land of the Dead.
