EURYTION

[Greek heroic] A Centaur, who planned to abduct Hippodamia, the bride of Pirithous, king of the Lapiths, during their wedding. The event led to the battle between the Centaurs and the Lapiths. The son of Ares, who guarded the cattle of Geryon. A famous Trojan archer (Virgil V, 514).
