KIKIMORA

Meaning of KIKIMORA in English

[Folklore] The Kikimora looks something like a chicken or the way a hen might look if she were stretched to the height of a little girl and dressed in peasant's clothes .She has a scrawny neck and a long beak and her legs and bare feet are exactly like those of a chicken. She has arms instead of wings but her fingers are talons. As might be expected when this creature appears in the barnyard and often feeds and cares for the chickens. She is also said to help with the housework if a farm woman has too much to do.
