Meaning of KUL in English

[Other] In Siberian (Ziryen) mythology, the kul are water-spirits who rule over lakes and rivers. They are hostile towards humans, and inflict sickness at a whim. The kul are closely connected to the underworld. The most important water-spirit is Ulkalan-tojon, "the master of all waters". They are found in the western districts of the Ostyak and in the northern part of Vogul territory.
